Scrap-bookers usually fall into two categories. Those that scrap chronologically and those who don't. I don't. I look at my pictures and decide what to scrap based on my mood. I feel that scrapping should be fun and not a chore. Scrapping chronologically seems like a chore to me. There are some people who prefer to scrap that way and I think that's cool, too. I just know I'd get bored if I did it that way. Another thing about scrappers is that we are usually about two years behind if not more. I still have things from a vacation I took to Disney World over four years ago!
There are NO rules in scrap-booking! You can do whatever you want however you want and no one should tell you that you are wrong.
Creativity has no boundaries and that is why I love it!
In the next few days I'm going to post a picture of a layout I have done and I'll go through each element in detail (as best I can) and I will include the products I used as well.
Until next time...

Come join me...
on my crazy scrapping journey! About four years ago I decided I wanted to make my best friend something special for Christmas. I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do but I wanted it to be the most unique gift she got. After thinking for a long time I decided to make a scrapbook of things we had done over the summer. About a week before Christmas I went to AC Moore and picked up a scrapbook, a pad of paper, some stickers, and glue. I then sat at my kitchen table for three nights straight and slapped pictures on the paper and stuck a few stickers around the pictures. I was so proud of my work and she absolutely loved her gift!
The next year I decided to make her another scrapbook. This time I was going to start early and incorporate everything we did for the whole year...January 1 all the way to December 31st! I wanted it to be even better than the one I gave the year prior. I scoured the internet for tutorials on creating layouts, I took books out of the library, and my fiance even found a local scrapbook store for me to visit. I soon realized that scrap-booking was a huge investment. It was more than just paper and stickers. Over the year I learned different techniques, met other scrap-bookers, and basically became hooked on scrapping!
Fast forward to now...
I have taken over the dining room in my house with all my supplies and scrapbooks. I'm addicted to buying new paper and bling for my pages. Glitter is my friend and there isn't a day that I don't find it someplace in my house. I still scour the internet looking for new techniques and I frequent my local scrap-booking store Scrap-a-Doodle-Doo for most of my supplies. In this blog I will talk about projects I am working on, showcase layouts I have completed, and recommend other blogs or youtube channels about scrapbooking. I'm still a beginner four years later but I'm having such a great time doing something I love! So, like I said in the beginning of this post come join me on my crazy scrapping journey!
